Strategy: We take responsibility for the future!

Sustainability is one of our strategic fields of action with which we are driving forward our ambitious and measurable goals. Our sustainability strategy 2Bsustainable! is based on defined sustainability targets that are achieved through the underlying sustainability program. Successful implementation is documented and published annually in the Doneck Sustainability Report.

Our targets

CO2 workflow:

We are working hard to achieve our climate targets. We are committed to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% compared to the reference year 2021. This target is in line with the Science Based Targets initiative, which we have joined. We want to achieve this ambitious target by 2030.

As part of the European Green Deal, we want to achieve the requirements for carbon neutrality by 2050. The Doneck Network is committed to sourcing only renewable electricity by 2030.
Scope 3 target: Doneck commits to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 25% by 2030 compared to the reference year 2021.

CO2 workflow – Long-term target:

We will reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 THG emissions by 90% by 2050 compared to the reference year 2021. In the same period, we will reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions by 90% compared to the reference year 2021.

Procurement:

Increase the proportion of raw materials with renewable content to 50% by 2030.

Environment: Waste

Reduce waste volumes by 30% compared to the reference year 2021. We want to achieve this target by 2030.

Sustainable products:

Increase the proportion of Green life ink® and Clean planet ink in the overall portfolio to 25% by the year 2030.

Sustainable products:

100% of raw materials are awarded the C2C Material Health Certificate Bronze. The target was achieved in 2022. The re-certification of all raw materials was successfully carried out and confirmed in 2023.

Human rights:

Increase the employment rate for women to 30% by 2030.

Human rights:

50% of our top 50 suppliers should have at least an EcoVadis Bronze rating. We want to have achieved this target by 2030.

Doneck Euroflex, together with the Doneck Network, has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal this year for outstanding sustainability performance. The effectiveness and progress in the development of innovative printing inks are also confirmed by the Cradle to Cradle MHC, OK Compost Home, and OK Compost Industrial certifications.
