Green workflow

We think green

Sustainability is the basis of our daily activities. Doneck optimizes its entire value chain, from the purchase of raw materials to the work in the laboratories, printing ink production and logistics, in order to ensure the best possible environmental impact of our company at all times. The most important building block for this is the implemented recycling system and our green workflow. This sustainability program includes strategic goals for environmental protection that are backed up with measurable key figures.

The achievements of our green workflow to date:

CO₂
We have been recording our greenhouse gas emissions since 2018. ClimatePartner supports us in calculating them by making a financial climate contribution* in the amount of the emissions incurred. Doneck thus supports important climate protection projects, confirmed by ClimatePartner.
* The contribution does not relate to indirect emissions that arise outside the company, such as in the manufacture of raw materials and preliminary products, external logistics and the use and disposal of products or other processes.

Solar energy
Thanks to our large-scale solar system with an output of 400 kWp, we rely on renewable energy sources for electricity.

Electricity
The energy purchased on the market is generated 100% from renewable sources, from water or wind power. This does not generate any CO₂.

Light
The entire Doneck headquarters in Luxembourg is equipped with energy-efficient LED technology.

Heat
Doneck uses natural, green natural gas to heat the company. Compressor waste heat, for example, is also used to heat the building on a pro rata basis.

Doneck Trucks
With the innovative and lower-emission Euro VI fleet in our fleet, we have laid the foundation for sustainable transportation.

Containers
Reusable instead of disposable! The targeted use of recyclable reusable containers for sales packaging (IBCs and drums) and internal storage, transport and work materials saves waste and CO₂.

Water cycle
By using a closed waste water cycle, we reduce the volume of waste water and save approx. 1,000,000 liters of fresh water per year. This corresponds to about 6,666 bathtub fillings.

Waste
Reuse before recycling! We are continuously reducing our waste volume by using reusable containers and other innovative solutions. As part of our sustainability strategy, we implemented the "We think green" ecological environmental program back in 2017. This concept for minimizing harmful environmental impacts is based on the Global Compact, the carbon footprint and the certified Doneck Management System in accordance with DIN EN 14001.

Our certificates

Sustainability Report

Our sustainability report provides a comprehensive overview of our sustainability performance and covers key areas such as environmental impact, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. It is an important tool for measuring progress, identifying potential for improvement and communicating our sustainability strategy transparently to our stakeholders.

CO₂ footprint

Calculating a carbon footprint is an essential starting point for understanding your company's impact. Calculating the footprint, also known as a carbon footprint, provides the basis for implementing an effective sustainability and carbon reduction strategy. With the CO₂ reporting obligation, we are implementing the new EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
