A basic ink system offers printers significant advantages:
- Increased flexibility - Mixing of required ink shade directly from basic inks
- Reducing inventory costs - Merely the basic inks have to be kept in stock
- Warehouse inventory control is facilitated
- Required ink shades are produced on demand
- Economic viability - Prices for compounds mixed from a basic ink system are generally more economic than special inks
- Residual inks are easier to incorporate and re-process
Depending on the specific requirements, the following ink mixing units can be used:
- Manual mixing unit using 25 litre cans
- Manual mixing unit using 200 litre barrels
- Automatic dispensing unit EUROMIX using 200 litre barrels or 1000 litre containers
